No matter which trim you choose, the Tiguan comes with helpful driver assistive features such as forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a rearview camera. Every 2021 Tiguan sports a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Tiguan is available in both FWD and AWD versions. Models with FWD are EPA-estimated at 23/29/25 mpg. Models with AWD are rated at 21/27/24 mpg.
