Car-Net® 2.0
The Tiguan is getting the relaunched Car-Net® alongside many other vehicles in the Volkswagen line up. The service itself has been upgraded to include many new features, like advanced parental controls. Take a more comprehensive look at Car-Net® 2.0 here. However, perhaps the biggest change to Car-Net® is that it’s free for the first five years. That’s not a trial version either. It’s the full-fledged service for 60 months.
Standard Tech Upgrades
Volkswagen added a few neat upgrades to the 2020 Tiguan. We suspect one of the favorites will be the integrated 4G-LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Existing Verizon customers can add their 2020 Tiguan onto eligible plans. For non-Verizon customers and non-eligible plan holders, a no-commitment monthly pre-paid plan is available for $20 a month.
More Standard Safety Features
Every trim on the 2020 Tiguan is now even more safe. Volkswagen has added blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automated emergency braking and pedestrian detection, and a rearview camera. Still available are adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, adaptive headlamps with automatic high beams, and a surround-view parking camera system.
