It rolls along on fifteen52 Traverse MX Concept wheels with all-terrain tires. The Atlas Basecamp also has an Air Design body kit, off-road LED light bars, a roof rack system with bike holders, and a lift kit with coil over springs, which results in an increased ride height of around 1.5 inches.

VW Atlas Basecamp Performance Features

Under the hood of the VW Atlas Basecamp is the robust 3.6-liter VR6 engine. Mated to an eight-speed transmission, it doles out 276 horsepower. For confident traction over the most unforgiving terrains, the Atlas Basecamp comes equipped with the 4Motion all-wheel drive system, which has a Drive Mode Selection feature.

Camping Trailer for the VW Atlas Basecamp

The VW Atlas Basecamp offers a cozy sleeping space for wilderness adventures with the HIVE EX compact expedition trailer, which has a queen-size bed, a pull-out canopy, and matching wheels and tires for off-road capabilities. The camping trailer also has a kitchenette, with a sink, a stove, and a refrigerator. Additional features of the camping trailer include a portable toilet, a shower, a propane tank, and a water tank.
