Buyers of the 2019 VW Golf GTI have a choice of four trims: S, Rabbit Edition, SE, and Autobahn. Each trim offers the choice of a manual transmission or DSG automatic transmission. Pricing starts at $27,595 MSRP for the S Manual, up to $37,095 MSRP for the top-of-the-line Autobahn Automatic.

What new features does the 2019 VW Golf GTI offer?
The biggest news for the Golf GTI for the 2019 model-year is the new heritage-inspired Rabbit Edition, which is slotted between the S and SE in the Golf GTI trim lineup. The limited-edition model features Rabbit-badged seat tags, a black rear spoiler, 18-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels, red-stitched floor mats, and black mirror caps. Technologies for the Rabbit Edition include KESSY keyless access with push-button start, LED headlights with the Adaptive Front-lighting System, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, and Front Assist.

In addition to the new Rabbit Edition trim, the SE trim gets newly-standard leather seating surfaces, as well as a newly-available Experience Package, which includes DCC chassis control and the Fender Premium Audio system. All 2019 Golf GTI trims come equipped with the retuned 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TSI turbocharged engine. It produces an output of 228 horsepower, which is an 8-hp increase over the previous model-year.
