2020 Jetta and 2020 Jetta GLI Standard Transmissions

Technically, the 2020 Jetta has both a manual and an automatic transmission as standard features. It just depends on which trim you choose. The six-speed manual transmission is standard and only available on the Jetta S and R-Line, though those trims can be upgraded to an eight-speed automatic. The SE and SEL Jetta models both come with the eight-speed automatic. Both the S and Autobahn trims of the 2020 Jetta GLI come standard with a six-speed manual and have a seven-speed DSG as an available option.
