The 2020 Atlas is turning head for all the right reasons. It’s stylish, efficient, and practical. The inside is just as excellent. But let’s not mince words.
Here’s what you can expect from the 2020 Atlas.
The 2020 Volkswagen Atlas is cavernous on the inside. It has standard three-row seating, making the standard seating capacity seven. There is a captain’s chair option that removes the bench-style seat from the second row and replaces it with two independent seats just like the front seats. There is also an optional second-row center console for this package. Regardless of the chosen option, every passenger will be duly accommodated, even the third-row passengers. Even tall adult passengers will be comfortable in the rearmost seats.
Similarly, that space translates into exceptional cargo capacity. Behind the third row, there’s 20.6 cu-ft of space. With those seats folded down, there’s 55.5 cu-ft available behind the second row. Fold down both rear rows and the cargo bay measures in at a staggering 96.8 cu-ft behind the first row. That’s enough space to handle all but the biggest of cargo.
If you’ve got a 2020 Atlas full of passengers, you want them to be comfortable. One way to do that is to keep them occupied. The Atlas makes this easy with multiple connectivity features. It has an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot (powered by a $20/month no-commitment data plan) that can support multiple devices simultaneously and numerous USB ports in the front and rear to keep everyone’s devices topped off. It also has a complimentary five-year subscription to the newly revamped Car-Net® remote service, which lets you do things like check vehicle diagnostics, lock/unlock your Atlas, set climate control settings, and start your car, all from your smartphone.
