The 2020 Atlas Cross Sport the newest crossover SUV in the Volkswagen lineup. It’s bigger and more powerful than the Tiguan, but smaller and nimbler than the Atlas. Take a look at the details.
The 2020 Atlas Cross Sport is the sportier younger sibling of the 2020 Atlas. It’s not quite as long and is a few inches shorter, lending it some exceptional handling capabilities. It has the same engine options as the 2020 Atlas: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. Both offerings are worth your consideration. The four-cylinder engine pumps out a respectable 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The V6 produces even more, clocking in at 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, culminating in a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. With the available 4MOTION® AWD, the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport will get you where you need to go, no matter the conditions.
There is a pretty extensive safety suite on the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport. It has adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, road sign assist, pedestrian monitoring, and blind-spot monitoring. That’s not all. It also has an automatic post-collision braking system and an intelligent crash response system. Automatic post-collision braking works by autonomously applying brake pressure after an accident in order to mitigate the possibility of more damage or more collisions. The intelligent crash system shuts off the fuel pump, unlocks the doors, and turns on the hazard lights when the airbags are deployed.
With Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to four devices simultaneously, an available wireless phone charger, multiple USB charging ports, and a five-year complimentary subscription to Car-Net® 2.0, you’re sure to stay connected, even while on the go.
