Thanks in part to the overwhelming number of crossover SUVs on the market, the sedan has had to both make itself better and more affordable to stay competitive. This translates into vehicles loaded with features for prices that are light on your wallet.
Today, we’ll look at the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta SE and the 2019 Nissan Sentra SV to see which sedan is right for you.

The People First Warranty is pretty neat. It boasts a 6-year / 72,000-mile limited and power train warranty, as well as a 3-year / 36,000-mile roadside assistance plan. For those used to buying new vehicles, you realize how ridiculously good those numbers are. They’re even better when compared against the 2019 Nissan plan. It includes a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty, a 5-year / 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and a 3-year / 36,000-mile roadside assistance program. The Volkswagen limited warranty is double that of Nissan. The Volkswagen powertrain warranty has a full year over Nissan. This isn’t even a competition.
The Nissan Sentra is pretty lackluster when it comes to actually driving it. For instance, the Sentra has a 0-60 mph acceleration of 10 seconds. Yeah, that’s incredibly slow. Which such a middling response when you press down the accelerator, simple tasks like merging onto a highway or passing another vehicle can become daunting or even frightening. The Jetta, on the other hand, has a much more reliable 8.4-second 0-60, giving the driver considerably more confidence, and, dare we say, fun.
