Ordinarily, we like to save our model comparison pages to talk up VW models and compare them to competitors. Sometimes, though, we just want to put to VW cars head-to-head to see which one is better suited for any particular driver.
In this edition, we are doing just that with the Volkswagen Golf and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Both models look pretty similar, so what makes them different? Most notably, the Golf GTI comes with more horsepower and torque than the standard Golf. Learn more by reading our table below.

The only discernible differences between these two models is their respective engine performance. As you read, the GTI is made for power while the standard Golf is more efficient. Both cars are turbocharged, but the GTI is much more suited for those who have a need for speed. Because of that, the GTI is significantly more expensive but both models are still affordable when compared to others in their class. Both models come with features like keyless access, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, blind spot monitoring, VW Car-Net®, lane-keep assist, and much more.
Both the VW Golf and VW Golf GTI are practical, spacious cars. It all just depends on your preference when it comes to performance. Are you more into power and torque? Or would you rather get the most bang for your buck at the gas pumps? Either way, we have something for you here at Capistrano VW! Come on down to our dealership today to learn more about these cars. We will go over everything else you need to know!
