I couldn't be happier with my experience at Capistrano Volkswagen and Steven Skinner. Steven was very friendly, helpful and straight to the point. Steven quoted us a low and reasonable price right off the bat and we didn't have to waste hours haggling back and forth. Steven really listened to my needs and offered me a great deal that I walked away feeling good about. I definitely recommend Steven.
My experience at Capo VW was a positive one. Buying a car can be un-nerving. The environment there was very friendly. I visited the dealership three times before making my purchase, and with each visit I encountered employees who were helpful, pleasant, and interested in helping to service my needs. Our salesman, David Hoke, was particularly helpful. I appreciated how he followed up on our first meeting, as I continued to contemplate what might be the best purchase for my family. We kept in communication for nearly a month prior to the final sale. I also appreciated the post-sale phone call he made. We bought a certified preowned car and it seems like it will be suitable for my family needs. My only recommendation for improved service at this dealership would be that all preowned certified vehicles come equipped with a spare key and an owners manual. I was not made aware that many of today's vehicles need to have specially made keys in order for them to work in the ignition. I'll now need to spend time (and a fair amount of money) to have these items. I'll buy my next car from David Hoke as well.... More
David and Capo VW were excellent. This is the first vehicle we have leased and they were very helpful in answering all of our questions. We have two small children and the staff went our of their way to make sure the kids were having fun (ask to see Jetta, the cat). The process was very quick (2 hours) too!! You would be crazy not to stop by and see these guys if you are buying/leasing a vehicle.
I know that the service provided at SJC Capistrano VW is the best! Whether it's a standard maintenance check, new tires, or even just a "what's that noise" I'm always confident in the professionalism and service provided.
This is my 4th GTI, (and our 10th VW). We have been shopping at Capo VW for over 25 years, and after numerous cars purchased (and serviced) here we always return because of the great people. Joey and Nick made it easy to get into a new VW, and the service advisors (Fred, Jeff, Brad & Arlen) are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Keep up the great work!!

Overall experience with this purchase was the best purchase process I've gone through with any of my cars. The Golf R is a tough car to come by, so I put a deposit down and knew I had a wait in store. Steve Skinner and the team (Nick Colucci & Miles Brandon) updated me along the way with any info they had. As the arrival date got closer random delays (caused by issues out of Capo VW's control) kept popping up they were updating me daily with whatever info they came across. They were definitely looking out for me and were as excited for me to get my car as I think I was. Paul Clark in finance was great too as he was able to get me a very low rate on my purchase. Overall I can't recommend this team enough, and the icing on the cake was they were one of the few dealers in all of Southern California that weren't charging mark ups on this hard to get car. Normally I dread looking for a new car but my experience with Don Abadie at Capistrano changed my attitude. Don was friendly, informative and patient throughout the process. We were undecided between two good car choices or whether to lease or buy. He was happy to indulge our need for multiple test drives as well as explore alternate financing options. Don’s unbiased recommendations and experience made us feel like he had our best interests at heart -which helped us make the right decision. had awkward experiences at a few previously visited dealerships. i felt like the salesmen thought what i wanted to spend on particular vehicles a joke. i felt they talked down to me and didn't even care about helping me find a car. david on the other hand was very personable. so easy to talk to it's almost as if he was a peer or friend & not a salesman. great atmosphere in the dealership. every employee there goes above & beyond to make the experience a good one even if you aren't directly dealing with them. i am glad i did not get bullied into taking the offers at the other dealerships. not only did i spend the exact amount i set out to spend, i got a much better car then any i had previously looked at all thanks to david!... I have leased my VW from this location and have received service there throughout my contract. I'm very pleased with the attention to detail in customer service, timeliness, offer to rent a vehicle during my visits, and of course any updates. Their video assessment is a helpful tool I hadn't experienced any where else. The dealership owner, Miles, is a professional who is down-to-earth and we appreciate that as well! Capo VW all the way!
