Over the past seven decades and across multiple generations, the VW Beetle has been driven by millions of people and gained countless automotive enthusiasts, with its instantly-recognizable curvy styling, pleasing driving characteristics, and an important place in the counter-culture movement of the 1960s. However, this very long run is coming to an end, for in 2019, Volkswagen will cease production of the iconic VW Beetle.
