With Volkswagen vehicles, you can enjoy many of the premium features that you might expect from the marque luxury automotive brands, but at a considerably more affordable price. Recently two Volkswagen models received the Vincentric “Best Value in America” award: the 2019 VW Beetle and 2019 VW Passat.
2019 VW Beetle and Passat Vincentric “Best Value in America” Award
The 2019 VW Beetle earned the Vincentric “Best Value in America” award for the compact car segment, while the 2019 VW Passat earned the “Best Value in America” award for the midsize sedan segment. In determining the winners, Vincentric measured cost-of-ownership using eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.
“We are thrilled with these awards for the Beetle and Passat. We have made great strides towards reducing the overall cost of ownership of our cars in recent years, and these awards reflect the hard work that has occurred throughout the organization.” – Scott Keogh, CEO, Volkswagen Group of America
End of an Era for the Beetle
The award for the Volkswagen Beetle is bittersweet, for 2019 marks the last production year for the iconic nameplate. In honor of the Beetle’s esteemed history, Volkswagen is offering two Final Edition models that are inspired by the first-generation Beetle’s final run at the assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico.
