Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ Features and Release

VW I.D. CROZZ Electric Powertrain

Volkswagen, with the currently-available all-electric e-Golf and the all-electric I.D. BUZZ concept van — is making a major push towards electric vehicle technology. The I.D. CROZZ is the most recent example. Its powertrain includes an 83-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and two electric motors, delivering an output of 302 horsepower. The compact SUV has an expected range of 300 miles and achieves an 80% change in only 30 minutes. The I.D. CROZZ will also come standard with the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system for all-weather traction and driving on challenging terrains.

VW I.D. CROZZ Autonomous Driving Capabilities

The I.D. CROZZ has autonomous driving capabilities — the I.D. Pilot self-driving system, which Volkswagen plans to install in production models by 2025. The system navigates via laser scanners, cameras, and ultrasonic and radar sensors. The I.D Pilot is activated by either voice commands or by pressing down on the VW logo on the steering wheel.
