However, Volkswagen is looking to take the Passat to the next level by introducing the new 2016 Volkswagen Passat Alltrack. This new model is a re-vamped version of the sedan with a new focus on power and capability. It features even more space inside, making it great for those looking to transport a lot of passengers, cargo or both.
New capabilities for the 2016 Passat Alltrack
The 2016 Passat Alltrack offers more than the classic Passat in terms of capability. For example, the new Alltrack is capable of off-road driving. Its new construction allows it to easily handle even the toughest terrain. With its off-road driving abilities, the Alltrack is great for hikers, campers and other outdoor enthusiasts. It also offers plenty of cargo space and towing capacity so you can be sure that you can bring all of your gear.
Inside the Passat Alltrack, passengers will enjoy the spacious interior, which offers drivers plenty of space to stretch out. There’s also a total of 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, so there’s plenty of room for everyone’s luggage. If you need to tow some extra equipment, there Alltrack has you covered there, too. It’s capable of towing a trailer that weighs up to 4850 lbs. with ease. It also comes with the optional feature for the Trailer Assist System, which makes it easier for you to hitch your trailer and park quickly.
The Alltrack is not only powerful, but safe as well. Drivers can rest easy when they drive the Passat Alltrack because all models come with the 4MOTION all-wheel drive as a standard. This feature along with the electronic stability program makes it easy to keep control of your vehicle on slippery and wet surfaces.
Drivers are also sure to appreciate that under the hood of the 2016 Passat Alltrack is a 2.0-liter TDI BiTurbo engine that is capable of making up to 240 horsepower and 368.8 lbs-ft. of torque for a drive that equal parts powerful and exhilarating.
