Also, the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan seating layouts and drivetrain are paired. FWD Tiguan models come standard with three-row seating, AWD models come standard with two-row seating. AWD Tiguan models do have available three-row seating, however. All 2020 Tiguan models have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. FWD Tiguan models are EPA-estimated at 22-city/29-hwy mpg. AWD Tiguan models are rated at 20-city/27-hwy mpg.
Standard Safety Features
Every 2020 Tiguan comes with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera. The SE R-Line gets front and rear parking sensors. The SEL trim adds rain-sensing automatic wipers, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The SEL Premium comes standard with adaptive headlights, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and a surround-view parking camera. As previously mentioned, the SEL Premium also has standard 4Motion AWD.
