2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Interior Walkthrough
The newest model in the Volkswagen lineup is now available! It’s an excellent crossover with a focus on the sportier side. But does that mean it foregoes utility? Let’s take a look.
How big is the cargo area in the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport?
The Atlas Cross Sport has 40 cu-ft of space behind its second row. Behind the first row, with the second row folded down, there is 77.8 cu-ft of space. Despite sharing part of its name with the Volkswagen Atlas, the Atlas Cross Sport is smaller than its sibling, which explains why it has less space than the Atlas. The cargo bay volume is still impressive, though, and more than enough to handle most tasks you need it to.
The Atlas Cross Sport is a two-row crossover SUV that can seat up to five people. Again, this differs from the Atlas which has three-row seating standard. Like the Atlas, though, the Atlas Cross Sport is just as spacious for its passengers, despite the smaller size and stature. The front seats have 39.4 inches of headroom, 61.5 inches of shoulder room, and 41.6 inches of legroom. The back seats are similarly roomy, measuring in at 37.8 inches of headroom, 60.6 inches of shoulder room, and 40.4 inches of legroom.
Safety and Driver Assistive Features
The Atlas Cross Sport has numerous safety features to keep you safe. There’s a rear view camera system, an intelligent crash response system, and an automatic post-collision braking system. Other driver assistive features are also available, like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear traffic alerta, light assist, lane assist, area view, park assist with park distance control and maneuver braking, and front assist.
