Special Modifications for Bonneville Jetta
The technicians at THR Manufacturing made several special modifications to the 2019 Jetta to help boost its speed in the unique salt terrain of the Bonneville Salt Flats. This includes equipping it with special Salt Flat wheels, lowering the suspension, and installing a limited-slip differential to maximize traction. To reduce weight, much of the interior was stripped of its original components. To help enhance safety, the Bonneville Jetta has a racing seat, harness, roll cage, and fire suppression system. Also, to help slow down the Bonneville Jetta more quickly after reaching such a high speed, a pair of parachutes were installed.
