Volkswagen to Release Limited Edition 2018 Passat GT Special Model

2018 VW Passat GT Special Model Pricing, Features and Release Date 

The 2018 Volkswagen Passat GT Special Model recently debuted at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Originally appearing as a concept car at the Automobility LA in 2016, the sporty Passat GT will be released as a limited-edition production model. 

The pricing of the 2018 Volkswagen Passat GT starts at $29,090 MSRP (with $850 destination charge). The release date will be in the spring of 2018.  

Design Features of 2018 VW Passat GT 

The 2018 VW Passat GT builds off of the R-Line grade. Exterior design highlights include LED headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights, a honeycomb grille with a red accent line, 19-inch “Tornado” wheels and a double exhaust. Passat GT buyers have a choice of four paint colors: Deep Black, Platinum Grey, Reflex Silver and Pure White. All of these colors nicely complement the black roof, mirror caps, window door trim, and rear spoiler.

The stylish design of the 2018 Passat GT continues into the cabin. Interior highlights include the piano black center console and vent trim, aluminum GT-badged sills and black headliner. Passat GT passengers can enjoy the comfort of the black leatherette seats with Moonrock Gray inserts, as well as the dual-zone Climatronic automatic climate control system. Additional interior features include heated front seats, 8-way power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and the Composition Media infotainment system.

2018 VW Passat GT Performance 

Under the hood of the VW Passat GT is the 3.6-liter VR6 engine, which produces 280 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and an estimated highway fuel economy of 28 mpg. The engine is mated to the six-speed DSG automatic transmission, which features the Tiptronic system with paddle shifters for manual shifting capabilities.
