2018 Tiguan Off-Road Features

The Tiguan’s ability to head off the pavement will be enhanced for the 2018 model year. All Tiguan models with four-wheel-drive will come with a terrain-based multi-mode selector, which features a snow mode and two off-road modes. It includes user-customizable settings for such things as powertrain performance, suspension and steering. This is the first time that this feature will be offered in a Volkswagen vehicle, and considering its something that’s typically only offered in luxury SUVs, 2018 Tiguan owners are getting incredible value.

Engine Specs and Performance of the 2018 Tiguan

The 2018 Tiguan will features a 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 183 horsepower. The 2018 Tiguan also has a more refined and sporty performance than its predecessor. Even when facing the challenges of traversing over uneven surfaces and extreme driving maneuvers, the new Tiguan can more than hold its own. This in part can be credited to the 2018 Tiguan’s MDQ architecture, which has resulted in lighter weight, as well as a sense of rigidity and solidity in the body.
