The Volkswagen Passat has long held a position as one of the brand’s most popular models. Much of its popularity comes from its spacious and comfortable interior and classy styling. Well, with the new model year, the 2016 Volkswagen Passat can add new technology, upgraded features and a sophistic styling to its long list of attributes.

For years, the Passat has been popular among drivers due to its versatile capability. Whether you’re in need of a commuter car for work, or need to tote around the kids, the Passat has got you covered. It offers comfortable seating for up to five passengers and offers everyone plenty of interior and cargo space.

With the new model year comes a new look for the 2016 Volkswagen Passat. This year, the sedan comes with a fascia that appears much more aggressive and sporty than that of its predecessor. The Passat’s new look is accented by a new hood shape, front fenders, grille and front and rear bumpers. As an added bonus, the Passat increases driver visibility with the addition of LED headlights and taillights.

Volkswagen isn’t done with the changes, either. It’s also introducing the Passat R-Line® in upcoming months, which offers a sportier take on the Passat. This model will feature rocker panels and a unique stylized front bumper. For an even sportier look, drivers can expect this model to feature contrasting black accents, a modifier rear diffuser and 19″ aluminum alloy wheels.

The new styling of the Passat continues inside with upgraded materials which create a more sophisticated, upscale look and feel. This is in addition to the sedan’s two-tone décor panels and chrome and piano black trim.

Even more impressive is its new instrument panel which features two large gauges and a center stack that comes with Volkswagen’s new MIB II infotainment system.
